The annual summer retreat (yarné) successfully ended today with a recitation of prayers and a simple outdoor program. Led by Khenchen Sonam Tashi, the lamas, lopons, and the monks of the Institute observed the summer retreat for the last one and a half months. The yarné is one of the most important annual events for Buddhists. It has its origin from the time of the Buddha Shakyamuni.
